| Conveniently located 3 blocks from Skytrain, this house can accommodate guests of all ages, including one or more small babies. So if you are travelling as a group to watch a family member compete, this may be just the property you are looking for! SORRY, PARALYMPICS ONLY: WE CAN NO LONGER ACCOMODATE GUESTS FOR THE OLYMPICS BECAUSE WE SIMPLY NO LONGER HAVE TIME TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO BOARD OUR PETS. The open concept living room/dining room makes it easy for everyone to eat and relax together in front of the wood-burning fireplace. The dining table can accommodate 12 at one sitting – 14 if everyone is friendly. Place settings for both casual and formal dining are available. The large gourmet kitchen includes a double and a separate single sink, refrigerator, cook top with pot filler faucet, wall oven, dishwasher and microwave. Many small appliances are also available for use, including a rice cooker. Good pots, pans, baking ware and excellent knives will keep your group’s chef happy. There is a small desk in the kitchen, with a internet-capable computer, colour laser printer, fax/copier and phone. High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the house, and most rooms include a desk, so bring your laptop or netbook. In addition to the kitchen and living areas, the upper floor has three bedrooms: The Master bedroom has a king-size bed, a small desk and plenty of closet space, as well as a 2-piece ensuite. The middle bedroom has a twin-size bunk bed suitable for children up to 10 years old, a large reading chair well-provided with children’s books, and is decorated with an ocean theme. The smallest bedroom is currently set up with a toddler bed and reading area. There is a full bathroom on the main floor, with bath/shower, 2 sinks and 2 toilets (one adult size, one preschool size). Downstairs, there are 2 large, bright bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, desk and small sitting area. The third downstairs bedroom has less natural light, and is currently set up as a storage room. Also downstairs, the TV room has a wood-burning fireplace, lots of toys and a 26” television with a selection of DVDs, including children's selections. Or, the toys can be packed away and the daybed expanded into a European King-sized bed (two twins side-by-side), transforming the room into a very large extra bedroom. A playpen and/or twin sized bed can easily be added to keep a young family together in this very large room. There is a full bathroom on the lower floor, with bath/shower, single sink and 2 toilets (one adult size, one preschool size). Also on the lower floor is a mud-room (garage entrance) and a laundry/sewing room with full-size washer/dryer set, drying rack and short indoor clothesline. There is private parking space for up to two vehicles, and plenty of street parking as well. If an agreement is reached by February 22nd, the children's bedrooms can be set up to accomodate additional adults, with queen beds and/or other furniture as negotiated. After February 22nd, there simply will not be time to make arrangements of this kind. Similarly, the existing TV is small and out of the way, but a large-screen TV can be rented and set up in the upstairs living area for viewing events that you cannot attend in person. We are willing to accomodate your needs, but we need time to do so - please call RFTG to open a dialogue if this property is almost perfect...but not quite. Please note: this house is home to 3 cats who will NOT be in the home during the rental period. The house will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival. However, those with severe cat allergies may experience some discomfort. |
