| The property The property is a small cottage with its own balcony and garden which would suit a couple or young family. It is fully furnished with all modern conveniences and would be ready to move into for a short term let. At present the house sleeps 2, but an additional sofa bed or single bed can be included in the house should this be requested before booking. It is located in a residential enclave which is wonderfully peaceful and quiet with its own security cameras ensuring your security at all times. The property features private off street parking and additional storage. Location The house is adjacent to a beautiful nature reserve which features many walks and leads to the wonderful walkways of the River Thames and many canals and lakes teaming with ducks, swans and even local fish. The River Thames is a short walk away as well as the delightful Thames Clipper which is the river ferry system taking you to many sites along the River. It is a few minutes walk to Canada Water which has a bowling alley, cinema, shopping centre, Starbucks, 24 Hour supermarket, post office, a diverse range of restaurants as well as chain eateries Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC which would appeal to younger residents. Rotherhithe is a historic riverside town (from where many cargo and passenger boats sailed to the Americas) with a number of local lakes and parks, and even features a pub built from the timbers of the Mayflower. Within a short bus ride or hop on the underground system, there is a wealth of other historic attractions as one would expect from a City Centre location. Transport Links The local bus takes you directly to Greenwich for all of the Olympic equestrian events and other activities within central Greenwich including historic sites, restaurants and museums. Canada Water, Surrey Quays and Rotherhithe are within walking distance and provide excellent transport links to other Olympic sites and parts of London. Canary Wharf which offers a wealth of shopping, banking, eating and entertainment facilities is only 1 tube stop away on the Jubilee Line, historic and atmospheric London Bridge/Borough Market 2 stops away, Westminster 5 stops away and the fantastic shopping on Bond Street is only 20 minutes away by direct tube links. Stratford (for other Olympic events and the main Olympic village) is 5 stops away on the Jubilee Line. The property would suit a small group of friends or family wishing to live in a peaceful and quiet riverside location only moments away from all of the attractions of London and the Olympic sites. Amenities The house would be ready to move into with towels, linens, cooking utensils, wireless internet and satellite TV.
