| A very beautiful and upmarket 2 bedroom riverside flat is available for rental during the London Olympic season. The apartment The apartment is finished and furnished to a high standard with real wood flooring throughout, high specification finishes and beautiful furnishings. The apartment is currently furnished with 2 double beds and can also host a sofa bed in the living room, therefore potentially sleeping 4-6 people. The apartment is light and airy throughout and is located within a private development with secure entry phone, underground parking for 2 cars as well as secure additional off road parking. The development is in a quiet and peaceful location with its own gated and private garden with seating and barbecue facilities, ideal for celebrating and cooking in the summer. Location Rainbow Quay is in an idyllic riverside location with panoramic views over the River Thames and private marinas just off the River. It is also a short 5 minute walk to a 24 Hour Supermarket (Tesco), Shopping Centre, Starbucks, Cinema, Bowling Alley, beautiful parks and walkways, nature reserves, City Farm, Post Office, assorted shops and restaurants. It is a short bus ride to historic Greenwich, a short walk or bus ride to historic Rotherhithe and a short distance away from London Bridge. Activities During the summer the area benefits from private boating events on the nearby marina, as well as numerous local watersports facilities including canoeing, windsailing and boating. There are also a number of local riverside restaurants and pubs within walking distance including one just a stone's throw from the apartment. There are a number of local gyms within walking distance of the flat including swimming pool facilities. Rotherhithe is a historic riverside town (from where many cargo and passenger boats sailed to the Americas) and even features a pub built from the timbers of the Mayflower. Within a short bus ride or hop on the underground system, there is a wealth of other historic attractions as one would expect from a City Centre location. Transport Links The local bus takes you directly to Greenwich for all of the Olympic equestrian events and other activities within central Greenwich including historic sites, restaurants and museums. Canada Water, Surrey Quays and Rotherhithe are within walking distance and provide excellent transport links to other Olympic sites and parts of London. Canary Wharf which offers a wealth of shopping, banking, eating and entertainment facilities is only 1 tube stop away on the Jubilee Line, historic and atmospheric London Bridge/Borough Market 2 stops away, Westminster 5 stops away and the fantastic shopping on Bond Street is only 20 minutes away by direct tube links. Stratford (for other Olympic events and the main Olympic village) is 5 stops away on the Jubilee Line. The property would suit a small group of friends or family wishing to live in a peaceful and quiet riverside location only moments away from all of the attractions of London and the Olympic sites.
