| Stoke Newington is a bohemian kind of place and has a very "villagey" feel. There are lots of independent shops, cafes and restuarants within five minutes' walk of the house. The area is famous for food and the local restaurants are particularly good. Stoke Newington is about 2.5 miles from the main Olympic sites with excellent direct transport links by road, rail or a beautiful walk down the river. It is about 2 miles from the city and very close to areas like Islington, Highbury and Shoreditch/Hoxton. Our home is situated in a quiet street without through traffic. It is a mid-terrace Victorian and the whole house is extremely light and sunny. It is fully centrally heated. It is on three floors and, has a 20ft south facing garden with eating area at the back. The ground floor has an entrance hall, living room, dining room, study, WC. There is a fully equipped eat-in kitchen at slightly lower level to the rear. Both the kitchen and the dining room/study open out to the garden. On the upper two floors there are four bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 loft room). It would sleep 10 at a push. There is a bathroom with combined bath and shower with great water pressure. The house is very quiet and the street is very neighbourly and safe. There is a cot and changing station for infants and the owner will be staying nearby and can assist with anything if required. |
