| Very close to central London. Our house is in zone two which is the closest you can live to the very centre of London. London has 6 zones in total. (this makes travel very affordable both on public transport and by taxi) The most famous Turkish restaurants in London are in our area. We have art house cinemas, jazz clubs, art house theatres, and galleries all within walking distance, lovely parks providing a sense of green oasis in the midst of urban London. We have several cafes, deli's and organic shops on our doorstep. The Sunday Chatsworth Road market for foodies is just down the road from us. Broadway market, Columbia road flower market and the famous Spitalfields market are all within easy reach either on foot or a short bus ride. We have a local fitness centre and pool 3 minutes walking distance. A large supermarket as well as specialty shops within walking distance. We have a very trustworthy teenager three doors down from our house who provides very affordable babysitting. The Olympic park is a 30 min walk (going away from central London) down the canals. We border Islington and Shoreditch. Both renown for places to go out eating, drinking, music, the arts, markets and shopping. We also border the Lea valley great for ice skating, horse riding , cycle paths, canal boating, kayaking and strolls. We are a short bus ride to Kings Cross Eurostar. (2 hours to Paris) We are centrally placed for all London's airports and are particularly close to city airport for visitors looking to make short European trips during their London stay. We are serviced by buses that reach all over London and 15 minutes (longer in rush hour) bus ride to Bethnal green London Underground station on the central line or 10 minutes to Dalston station on the east London line. We are 10 minutes walking distance to hackney downs and hackney central train lines. | |
